The Answers to Some Lies and Some Truths

I write in and have filled up at least five Paperblanks journals in addition to my blog.

-This is true. In secondary school, everyone tried to steal my journals.

Before last Christmas, I had never seen snow.

-This is also true. I was supposed to see snow the Christmas before in Maryland but Nature cheated me.

The name of my ex is Namu.

-This is false. Bakura is and will always be, King of Pain.

I have a little brother called Allamin; he's a pest but I love him.

-This is false. I'm an only child.

I have a cat called Allamin; he's a pest but I love him.

-This is false, I have never owned a cat. Well I once owned a kitten but it died in a horribly tragic accident when I was three. Either way, my kitty was never named Allamin.

I have a dog called Allamin; he's a pest but I love him.

-This is false. While I have had many dogs, none has ever been called Allamin.

Bakura was my first.
-This is true.

I have five best friends, four of which are female.

-This is very, very true. And I love you guys!!!!!

I like threesomes both ways.

-This is true. I might as well be selfish and enjoy myself thoroughly. :)

I am turning twenty in March.

-This is true, and I am dreading the inevitable questions that will follow about why I do not have a "serious boyfriend". Throw in a couple of admonishments about "why can't you find a nice Igbo boy" and my birthday will be perfect.

Last week I went to the mall to buy a painting and ended up with these boots. ( I still got my painting though):

-Unfortunately, this is true. I don't even want to remember how much these boots cost. Every time I think about it I get goose bumps. Why can't I just say no????????

Oh My God...

I farted in an elevator full of people.

It wasn't my fault. I was late for class and I get gas whenever I'm anxious.

It was going to make a really loud noise but I managed to squeeze it out silently.

Thank God I used my notebook to fan the smell away from me, everyone was staring daggers at everyone else...

Oh the shame... I ran out once I got to my floor.

What if somebody knows it was me????

Question

Who the fuck calls their husband 'HUSBY' ?

As in, seriously....

Some Lies and Some Truths

I was tagged by my best friend Lolia which means I have no choice.

Some of the following statements are true. Some of the following statements are not so true.

Your job is to tell me which are true and which are false.

Let's begin:

I write in and have filled up at least five Paperblanks journals in addition to my blog.

Before last Christmas, I had never seen snow.

The name of my ex is Namu.

I have a little brother called Allamin; he's a pest but I love him.

I have a cat called Allamin; he's a pest but I love him.

I have a dog called Allamin; he's a pest but I love him.

Bakura was my first.

I have five best friends, four of which are female.

I like threesomes both ways.

I am turning twenty in March.

Last week I went to the mall to buy a painting and ended up with these boots. ( I still got my painting though):

I tag Multi, Solomonsydelle, Nosa, Moody Crab, Sting, Aulelia, Black Girl, The Explorer, Afrohomo, and Ty the Magnificent.

I think Smaragd and Abuja Maiden have already done it, but if not, then I tag you too. :D

You Leave Me No Choice When You Burn Through My Eyes

Bakura is nominated for one of the 2009 Future Awards.

I've given up any hope of escape.

No, I am not upset, crying or pining.

It's just that I've always been interested in the Future Awards, and looking at the 2009 nominees was exciting....until I saw him on the list.

In one breath I remember, and am proud of him.
In another I remember....

May the best man win.

What I Wore Today

So I thought about what Multi said, and questioned why I have taken to wearing red lipstick every day. The answer is that it makes me feel fun and flirty and passionate and wild. It reminds me of the girl I once was. *sigh*

I woke up this morning and decided to try on my beloved red lipstick. Then it made me happy and I decided to get dressed. :D I've also started wearing my brooches a lot more. Actually, I'm collecting brooches, so if there's a Fairy Godmother (or Father) out there, I want the white tiger and the turtle brooches from Kenneth Jay Lane!!

I wore red lipstick to work yesterday:
And before I put on my clothes this morning:

And when I was all dolled up. Yay!!!

Speaking of brooches:
If you want to know my mood, read my pins. My birthday is in a few months (very few!) I really need that tiger brooch and maybe a leopard one too. I feel fierce.

Sugabelly discovers Red Lipstick, and is Deliriously Happy

Finally, I have found not just a red lipstick, but THE red lipstick. Now the saying goes that there is a red lipstick out there for every woman, and every woman has to find her very own shade, but as Multi will tell you I searched high and low and tried many different shades of red lipstick, with no success. Being dark skinned I couldn't just slap on anything and walk out the door. Unlike my fair friends, I had to go a hunt for the perfect red lipstick that wouldn't fight with my skin or make me look silly.

Last month I found my ultimate red lipstick, which incidentally is a pencil. Make that TWO pencils.

Behold Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencils in Dragon Girl and Cruella (Dragon Girl is the brighter red of the two and my favourite.) both $24 (in case anyone else has the same problem and wants to try them out)

It suits me, no?

My Comment on Black Celebrity Kids

Note: This comment was in response to what someone called KB wrote.

@kb: I generally have no problem with interracial relationships. I would have one if I ran into a guy from another race and fell in love with him. The point is, there would be no problem with successful black men marrying white women if it was happening with completely random frequency, however, there is unfortunately, a marked and observable trend of successful black men marrying white (or if not white then hispanic) women, and maligning black women in the process. This phenomenon also trickles down to the lower levels of society where the black men there generally "aspire" to date or be seen with a white (or if not white then hispanic) girl on their arm. They usually only get as far as the hispanics in this case though.

In general, the ranking goes this way:

White Woman
Hispanic/Latina Woman
Mixed Race
Asian Woman
Anything Else
...........
...........
............
.....
...
...
...
Black Woman

The point is, their behaviour is hurtful to black women as a race. Every race on earth generally shows dating/marriage preference for their own race .... except Blacks in America.
Now my personal opinion is that Black women are far too loyal to Black men and should just quit them all together and date whoever they damn want, but the result of the general racial preference observation above is that while there are teeming numbers of Black Men that want to date White and Other Race women, there are relatively few White and Other Race Men that want to date Black Women.

Note: I said RELATIVELY.

Black Women remain the MOST unmarried demographic in America. Want to know why? Because for the MOST part all the other races in America marry people from their own race. And I suppose you'd think that Black people would do the same, but the Black Men are too busy running after women of other races, and even the ones that have children with Black Women won't marry them. It's like they're holding out just in case "Ashley-Marie" or "Lauren" finally comes along. The phenomenon of Baby Mamas is nowhere more prevalent than in the Black race in America.

I'm sorry but it's the truth. I don't think we will be able to change Black Men's conception of what is beautiful or desirable any time soon. My advice to Black Women is: Cut your losses and get out. Date ANY man that sweeps you off your feet, whether he is White, Asian, Latino, whatever. And oh, if you're still hankering for a black man, then Africans, particularly West Africans will treat you much better.

Sugabelly Misses Everyone

Hi darlings, I'm back. Well I've been back for a while but much too lazy to post so I've been commenting on other people's blogs for a while, most notably Nigerian Curiosity which is one of my absolute favourite blogs, and most controversially, Bella Naija. I think this is one of those situations again where Drama follows me. Oh well. I'm back at school, and not finding this snow funny. As in seriously what the hell? It is so cold I can't think properly, and all I want is hot okro soup. The things I would do for hot okro soup right now... you don't even know.

Okay, Gripes: Why is Boorish's blog suddenly Invited Readers Only??? What is UP with that?
Why can't I type since I grew out my nails?
When is this damn snow going to MELT???

kisses!
