A lot of people might be surprised that this is coming from me of all people but I just have to say it. As bad as colonialism was, some good came out of it that I am eternally thankful for. I have been doing some amazing research on ancient Igbo culture and I have discovered a wealth of information on Igboland in the 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries buried deep in the libraries of universities around New York. I'm talking about detailed information about every aspect of Igbo culture and the Igbo land from the most interesting to the most mundane complete with first hand accounts, photographs, transcripts, drawings, maps, you name it, it's here and I am thankful!
