Fashion Show Update.
So like I said, Multi's camera messed up at the moment of truth, so I had to go beg other photographers to relinquish some pictures of my portion of the show to me. A few of the photos are beginning to come through. And I beg you if you were at the show and have any pictures of the African portion (After the Bongo drums) please send them to sugabelly@gmail.com.
Anyway, thanks to Blue Lion Productions for the photos I have now.
I've posted them on the Tumblr site I've set up for the new line Dinka.
Well here's a picture of me at the end. I know. I have gained a lot of weight. There is this super amazing pizza place called Pinnacle across the road from Columbia's Furnald Hall and they have this little piece of goodness called Meat Lovers' Pizza. I ate four slices. I don't know why. It seemed like the moment I entered that place I was compelled to do this. Unfortunately, this all happened BEFORE the show and the result is my very full and very visible tummy showing through my t-shirt.
Hmm... looking at the picture now, I just realised that I was blushing all the way through. That's my shy smile. Usually when I smile I show my teeth, but when I'm shy I don't. I had stage fright waiting in the wings backstage.
Ooh, and the model's hair is gorgeous. It's dyed blonde but she has 4c kinky afro hair and it's unbelievably healthy for hair that's been dyed. I looooooove that grey dinka shirt, but she was the only one that could fit into it. These models try oh! If I was that skinny I would be hungry all the time :(. But she rocked it. Sorry about the red eye, my photoshop trial ran out yesterday and no ego to but more.
After the show, the next day, I met up with friends and we headed over to Chinatown and had brunch at the most amazing Dim Sum place ever. I was a freaking pig. I ate everything in sight. But it was soooooo worth it though.
So totally worth it. Yum!
Later Multi and I went shopping in Soho and got some cute stuff. Will post pictures later.
