I Drew Some New Stuff
I haven't posted in a minute but I've been extremely busy, what with having to find a real job and working on some secret stuff for some secret people in Blogville (speaking of which, please somebody needs to call me and scream at me to finish that because I'm on a super tight deadline).
Oh yeah, and congratulations to everyone nominated for a Nigerian Blog Award this year. ^_^
Today I was so stressed out from all the pressure that I decided to take a break. The perfect way to take a break for me is to watch a movie or a TV series. Since horror is one of my favorite genres of movies, I decided to watch one. Choosing a movie wasn't a problem since I keep tabs on all latest releases by looking at websites akin to https://hellhorror.com. However, despite watching the movie from start to finish, I still could not get my mind off the deadlines. So I decided to get my creative juices flowing and did a couple of drawings for my graphic novel (that hopefully I will get published some time in the next century).
The first one is of the father of one of my main characters in the story. Obviously he's shocked about something but I can't say what because that would be telling and I don't want to give the story away before I've finished.

Here are the roughs:

The second one is a reworking I did of one of my characters Bilili. If you read this post, this post, or this other post, you'll know that Bilili is an Nri era (i.e. ancient) Igbo courtesan and she kicks major ass.
I haven't drawn very much so far this year, but hopefully I've improved a bit. Check out the difference between my original Bilili concept sketch and the new one.

The new Bilili:

This is just the blue sketch. I haven't inked yet.
Now that I think about it, inking this thing is going to be a major pain in the ass.
So, what do you think?
