I feel like blogging
And about something less depressing than my love-hate life, or lack/twistedness thereof.
Here are some good things that happened to me this week:
I won third place in the Art Show my school put on. It was a serious art show, and funnily enough I overslept on a nap and missed it, but I won third place! And a white ribbon! I hear I'm getting a prize, but I don't know what it will be yet.
Barcelagos has got quite a bit of press over the past few days, and because of that I've been intermittently beaming from ear to ear. Called my mom in London and told her. My Mom makes me happy. She's like my secret happy stash. She's the only one that can make it all better even when the world is falling apart around my head. I love her so!
We're no longer sub-hosting! Barcelagos finally has its own website in http://www.barcelagos.com, and already it's got about a thousand hits! Hard work really does pay off. Mega yay!
I finally turned in my research paper on Mark Twain. I was super scared that I wouldn't be able to do it and get a zero, but I started spazzing out and so I sat on my bed and prayed to God to calm me down, and help me not fall asleep and help me to collect my thoughts and do my most excellent work, and that's exactly what He did! Two funky elbows for God! He rocks BIG TIME!
I bought two divalicious wigs on eBay! Since I shaved my head after the big bust up with B, (I'm not saying his name anymore. I need my mind and body to adapt to life without him), I've been getting weird looks (from the shocked Americans) and treacherous looks when I wear the hijab (from the paranoid Americans that I suspect suspect that I might whip out a bomb or something any moment), plus, my head feels cold and funny without my hair. [I kid you not people, I AM BALD]
I bought a ton of makeup from ELF. Waiting for my 'eye opener/widener' to arrive tomorrow.
Also, I find it's rather weird balancing designing for and running a t-shirt company and navigating my jungle of a love life. Chocolate and Ice Cream are my map and compass. Ooh! And pancakes! Yes, pancakes make me happy. I've got two weeks left of school, and I'm doing an interview with a fashion blog (so excited).
Additionally, the sale in Abuja is something else [drat, I forgot to mention I was having a t-shirt sale in Abuja. Sorry. Here - Rococo Pink, QueenFem Plaza (The blue plaza opp. Mr. Biggs), Second Floor, Aminu Kano Crescent, Wuse II, Abuja], the t-shirts are selling out really fast, but I'm having them take orders as fast as they can write. Once school's out, I'm off to Texas to prep for my first ever fashion show. I got an invitation to show at WAPI, and I would LOVE to!!!!! But I'm in the US of A at the mo, so I'm going to start stalking KLM for a cheap ticket to Naij!
