Internet Woes
Right now my internet connection is tenuous at best so until I have better internet access, my posts are going to be sporadic.
As you know I live in quite a rural area so our internet signal often lets me down. Despite the source here stating 89.4% of American's have access to the internet, rural areas often have far worse connections than cities and large towns. They can get the fibre internet Melbourne has to offer, and so much more easily too. It can be so frustrating, especially when I have work to be getting on with and blogs to write. I cannot even use streaming services to catch up on my favorite TV shows. We really are so dependent on the internet nowadays!
That being said, I have been thinking about switching internet service providers as I am not too impressed with my current service. A good friend of mine told me that she managed to find wireless internet for rural areas in the Phoenix, AZ area by comparing a few different options. She told me that making the change has made a huge difference and her internet signal no longer drops as much as it used to. Perhaps it is time to do some research of my own to find a solution to my internet woes?
I do have suspicions that my internet router might also be experiencing some problems. I have an ASUS router, and I have found this useful guide to restoring ASUS factory defaults here. Sometimes resetting your internet router to the factory defaults is enough to get it working again.
What do you do when you have no internet connection? Let me know in the comments.
